Ok, this leads me to another pointer... The servers... eventually I want to take this to a point where the servers are listed. Since I can think of 2 different methods how this could take place:
- Servers are hosted
- Servers are from the clan (members) themselves
So with that in mind I need a status flag per server stating what type of server this is. Second, I need to have a method that people can manage the server. The only thing that defines a server is the following info:
Server name
Server Ip
Server port
(Server location)
I am putting server location between brackets since I am not sure if this would be of any importance yet. I can think of it is has some importance if the system would be like big, and is world wide and so on. Since a server location has an impact on ping time and so on. But Ok, this is a side story I am keeping in the back of my head.
However, what really important about this matter is that servers are eventually choosen for the match. Does it need a "override" method to pick a server which is not listed? I can come up with all kinds of thoughts why I would say: yes. But lets keep that optional... ow wait, the database already allows this on the way I set it up. Hah!
